Multiple channels, different rules

You can add as many channels as you want. Each has its own filter:

  • Type filter. Features only, Bug Fixes only, or all.

  • Audience filter. Only post if the post's audience is "All users" or a specific segment.

  • Label filter. Only posts tagged with a specific label.

Pinging roles

You can have the bot ping @product-updates (or any role) on every post. Set the role ID in the channel destination config.

We recommend pinging sparingly — only for major releases. Otherwise users mute the channel.

Threading

Each release can be a thread instead of a top-level message. Useful for "let users discuss this release" without polluting the channel.
