Customize columns

The four default columns cover most teams. You can:

  • Add a custom column (e.g. Considering) before Planned

  • Rename existing columns

  • Change column colors (drives the dot color in the widget)

  • Reorder columns

ETA types

For each item you can set:

  • None. No estimate shown.

  • Quarter. "Q3 2026". Soft, customer-friendly.

  • Month. "October 2026". More committal.

  • Date. A specific day. Use only when you're certain.

Avoid promising dates unless you'd bet money on them. "Q3" lets you slip without breaking trust.

Releasing an item

When an item ships, move it to Released and link the changelog post. The widget shows users the full story: planned → in progress → released, with a one-click jump to the post.

Reopen a released item

If you have to walk something back, hit Reopen. The item moves back to In Progress and the linked post stays where it was.
