Triage ideas — votes, comments, statuses

Article

The triage loop

Every Friday (or your cadence), spend 15 minutes in the Ideas tab:

  1. Sort by votes. Loud ideas first.

  2. Read comments. That's where the use case lives.

  3. Set a status. "In review", "Planned", "Won't do", or merge into an existing idea.

  4. Reply. A short comment from your team converts the requester into an advocate.

Statuses

  • New — fresh, untriaged.

  • In Review — your team is considering it.

  • Planned — confirmed, on the roadmap. Move the idea onto the roadmap from the menu.

  • In Progress — being built. Visible to voters.

  • Released — shipped. Linked to a changelog post.

  • Won't do — decided against. Always reply with the reason.

Linking to the roadmap

The "Move to roadmap" action creates a new roadmap item pre-filled from the idea, links them, and copies all the votes and followers. Voters get notified when the roadmap item changes status.
