Understand your Users list
See the people the Releaseo SDK has identified, how traits from identify() show up, and how to search, filter and open a user.
The Users page (sidebar → Audience → Users) lists the people your website or app has identified through the Releaseo SDK. It is the place to check who your widget is reaching and to build audiences from what you know about them.
Where users come from
A user appears after your site calls identify() from the Releaseo SDK once your own sign-in or user context is ready:
releaseo.identify('u_123', {
tenantId: 't_456',
email: 'user@example.com'
});
The first argument is the user ID. The optional second argument is an object of traits (properties) about that person. Releaseo also records some details automatically, such as browser, operating system, device type, country, first seen, last seen and web sessions.
If the SDK is not installed yet, the page shows SDK not installed yet with a Go to installation button. If it is installed but nobody has been identified, you see "No users yet. Users will appear here once the SDK identifies them."
What the page shows
At the top, three small cards show Users, Saved segments and User properties. The Users card reads "all time" or "filtered", depending on whether a search, segment or date range is narrowing the list.
The table has these default columns, and you can change them with Manage columns:
User
OS
Browser
Country
Last seen
First seen
Device
Traits you send through identify() can appear as extra columns. You can page through results and choose a page size of 50, 100 or 200.
On wide screens a Segments rail on the side lists All users and your saved segments. On narrower screens you pick a segment from the toolbar instead.
Search and filter
Type in the search box. It matches by User ID, email, or name.
Use the Last seen date filter to narrow by when users were last active.
Select Conditions to open the condition builder, add conditions, and choose Run query.
Choose Clear all to return to every user.
If nothing matches, you see "No users found. No users match the current filters. Try adjusting your segment or date range."
See "Create audience segments" for how conditions work and how to save them.
Open a user
Select a row to open a side panel with that person's details, grouped into Profile, Activity, Device & browser, Location and other context. If you have not sent extra traits you see "No additional properties recorded for this user yet."
The row menu (User actions) also has Add to blacklist. It is available only if your role can manage SDK users.
Good to know
A trait name becomes a "user property" once it has been seen. You can review them on Static data → Audience fields, where they are marked as automatic or custom.
Chat identity is separate. Calling
identify()does not authenticate a Live chat customer.Dates and times display in your active project's time zone.
Troubleshooting
Users are missing. Confirm
identify()runs after the SDK is ready and receives a stable user ID.A trait is not available in conditions. It appears after at least one identified user has sent it.
"Couldn't load users". Refresh the page and try again.
